For this update we opened every vendor's own site on 30 September 2026 and wrote down two things: which steps the software does without you, and what it costs. What "Reddit automation" actually covers

People searching for Reddit automation tools want one of four different things. Most lists mix them together, which is how a post scheduler ends up compared with a lead generation tool. They are separate jobs.

Reply and DM automation. Software finds threads where someone is asking for a product like yours, then writes and sends a reply or a direct message. This is the kind that brings in customers.
Post scheduling. You write a post and the tool publishes it later, at a time you choose. Useful for creators and community managers. It does not find anyone.
No-code workflows. Zapier, Make and n8n connect Reddit to other apps. You build the logic yourself: "when a post matches this search, send it to Slack" or "post this row from my spreadsheet".

These ten tools are built to get your product in front of people who are already asking for it. They differ in how far down the five stages they go and whose Reddit account does the posting.

1. RankCow

Redreach finds Reddit posts that are relevant to your business, including ones that already rank on Google, and gives each a relevance score out of 100. It drafts reply suggestions and personalized DMs. The DMs can be sent in bulk through its browser extension. Public comments are different: Redreach deliberately leaves those to you, and says on its site that human-posted comments survive where automated ones get removed.

How it compares: a good fit if DMs are the whole plan. RankCow sends the DM and the public reply, and the reply is what keeps working after the thread goes quiet because Reddit threads rank on Google.

4. Replyt

Replyt detects high-intent threads each day, drafts replies in your voice and prepares one-to-one DM outreach. Nothing goes out without your approval. Once you approve, a Chrome extension posts from your own account with gaps of at least a minute between actions. A "Guardian" agent caps daily actions at three for established accounts and fewer for new ones, and refuses threads older than 14 days.

Replymer monitors Reddit and X for your keywords and drafts replies that recommend your product. On X it can publish automatically. On Reddit you post each reply from your own account with one click, or let an AI agent in your browser do it. It also tracks how six AI engines mention your category.

ReplyAgent splits the job in two. A $79 per month subscription covers 24/7 post discovery and AI-written comments. Posting is separate: you can post by hand from your own account for free, or pay ReplyAgent to post through its high-karma accounts at $4 per comment and $8 per post.

7. Reddix

Reddix tracks keywords that signal buying intent, has AI draft the content, and publishes comments and posts through aged accounts it maintains. You never log in to Reddit. It also offers upvoting and refunds credits for posts deleted within 12 hours.

LeadReddit identifies threads across the subreddits you track, scores each from 0 to 100 for how worth replying it is, and helps you rewrite a comment to match the community's voice. It is upfront that it does not post for you, does not ask for your password and does not use Reddit OAuth. You copy the reply into Reddit yourself. It also tracks your account's karma and posting cadence.

Paid plans add AI scoring, Slack alerts and suggested responses for public comments and DMs, which a person reviews and sends. Its strength is coverage across platforms and reporting such as share of voice.

10. Devi AI

Devi AI monitors keywords across Facebook Groups, Reddit, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp groups, then offers a one-click AI reply and a one-click comment or DM for each lead. It can also schedule AI-generated content to your social channels. If your buyers talk in Facebook Groups as much as on Reddit, the single feed is the reason to look at it.

Reddit post scheduling tools

Scheduling is the oldest kind of Reddit automation. You write the post, the tool publishes it at the time you set. None of these find buyers or reply to anyone, so they sit beside a tool like RankCow and do not replace it.

11. Later for Reddit

Later for Reddit has scheduled Reddit posts since 2013. It analyzes recent top posts in a subreddit to suggest when to publish, supports crossposting, and lets you prepare posts in a spreadsheet and upload them in bulk.

12. Postpone

Postpone is a social media scheduler for creators, brands and agencies that supports Reddit alongside other networks. It is the usual pick for people who post their own content to several subreddits on a calendar.

Automates: publishing your posts at a set time.
Price: listed on its plans page. The page would not render as plain text when we checked, so we are not quoting a number.

Reddit's own scheduler is free, and it is narrower than most people expect. Reddit's help page on scheduled and recurring posts describes it as a moderator feature: you need the Manage Posts and Comments permission in the community, so it works for subreddits you moderate and not for posting into other people's.

No-code workflow builders

Workflow builders do not know anything about Reddit marketing. They give you triggers and actions, and you assemble the logic. That is flexible and cheap. It also means you are the one who builds the intent scoring, the rule checks and the pacing, or goes without them.

13. Zapier

Zapier's Reddit integration has two triggers, New Hot Post in Subreddit and New Post Matching Search, and two actions, Create Post and Create Comment. A typical workflow sends every matching post to Slack or a spreadsheet.

Price: Free for 100 tasks a month. Professional from $19.99 per month billed yearly, or $29.99 monthly, for 750 tasks.

14. Make

Make has an official Reddit app with triggers for new links and new comments in a subreddit, and Submit a Post and Submit a Comment modules. Make notes that each of those submit modules runs about once every nine minutes.

Price: Free for 1,000 credits a month. Core $9 per month for 10,000 credits.

15. n8n

n8n is a workflow builder with a Reddit integration and a library of community templates, including ones that monitor posts and reply using an AI model. Its main difference is that the standard version is open source and can run on your own server.

Price: Free if you self-host. Cloud Starter €20 per month billed yearly for 2,500 executions. Pro €50 per month for 10,000.

How these compare: a workflow that comments on every post matching a keyword is the exact pattern Reddit's spam rules describe. You can build a careful version, with scoring and caps and rule checks, and by then you have rebuilt a product like RankCow over several weekends. Most teams are better off buying that part.

Reddit automation bots: PRAW, AutoModerator and Devvit

A Reddit automation bot is a program that performs actions on Reddit, such as posting, commenting, monitoring or moderating, through Reddit's API instead of someone clicking in the app. There are three common kinds.

16. PRAW

PRAW, the Python Reddit API Wrapper, is the free open-source library most custom Reddit bots are written with. It handles login and gives you Python objects for subreddits, posts, comments and messages. What the bot does is up to your code.

Price: free. The cost is developer time and keeping up with Reddit's API rules.

AutoModerator is the bot built into every subreddit. Moderators configure it to remove, flag or reply to posts based on rules, and it is the reason a new account's comment can vanish the moment it is posted. If you have wondered why that happens, see how much karma you need to post.

Devvit is Reddit's Developer Platform, where apps run inside Reddit with its approval. It is where Reddit is steering developers.

The ground moved under custom bots in 2026. In August, Reddit staff posted plans for the public Data API, saying it would gradually restrict new requests and expected third-party apps to move to the Developer Platform, with a registration deadline of 30 September 2026 for apps using the Data API. A PRAW script you wrote last year may need registering to keep working.

Do you need a bot to get customers from Reddit? No. A bot is the right tool for moderating a community or pulling data for research. For reaching buyers, a bot you code yourself has to solve account standing, subreddit rules, pacing and message quality before it sends a single useful reply. RankCow is that work already done.

What Reddit allows and what gets accounts banned

Reddit's rules target behavior, not software. The Content Policy asks users to post authentic content and avoid content manipulation, including spamming, vote manipulation, ban evasion and subscriber fraud. Nothing in it bans using a tool to find a thread or write a comment. Reddit's Responsible Builder Policy names coordinated inauthentic behavior and acting without a user's consent as the things builders must not do.

Reddit cannot see whether a person or an AI wrote your comment. It can see cadence, account history and duplication. Its guidance on disrupting communities says it combines signals from moderators, users and its own detection to decide when behavior crosses the line. Readers, on the other hand, can often tell.
