   Follow Reddiquette and Reddit Content Policies

   All content on the sub **must** follow [Reddiquette](https://www.reddithelp.com/en/categories/reddit-101/reddit-basics/reddiquette) and abide by Reddit's [Content Policy](https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy).

   No Discrimination, Harassment, or Malicious Content

   We have zero tolerance for hate speech, doxing, or threats. Any violation of this rule is considered bannable, even on the first offence. Harassment, dog whistles, playing devil’s advocate, sea-lioning, and general pot-stirring is considered malicious and is not permitted.

3. 3.

   Keep Discussions Civil

   All discussion, even disagreements, is expected to be conducted civilly. [Unwelcome behavior](/r/boardgames/wiki/community) is subject to removal, regardless of content, and repeated offences can lead to bans.

4. 4.

   Posts Must be High Quality and On-Topic

   At their core, posts should be discussion-oriented and [high-quality](/r/boardgames/wiki/contribution-guides). External media or content, when shared, must engage the community. Above all, posts must be directly related to the board gaming hobby. Low effort, meme, and [tangentially related/off-topic](/r/boardgames/wiki/off-topic) posts are subject to removal.

   Promotion Requires Participation

   This sub is a community, not an audience. Promotion of any kind requires the user to abide by our [Participation & Promotion Guidelines](/r/boardgames/wiki/community#wiki_participation_and_promotion).

6. 6.

   Follow Posting Guidelines

   Certain topics, such as [Game Recommendations](https://new.reddit.com/r/boardgames/wiki/contribution-guides/#wiki_game_recommendations), [COMC](https://www.reddit.com/r/boardgames/wiki/contribution-guides#wiki_check_out_my_collection_.28comc.29), giveaways, and AMAs, have recommended or required posting guidelines all users are expected to follow. 7. 7.

   Respect Intellectual Property

   Sharing self-created projects are encouraged, but must be done so in a way that respects the intellectual property of publishers/designers. Shared game assets or digital recreations that are not publicly released by the IP holders require written permission by the IP holder. Game re-themes must be shared in such a way as to prevent physical recreation.

   Hide Spoilers and NSFW Content

   Respect other users of this sub by keeping Spoilers and possibly NSFW content hidden. Posts and comments **must** be appropriately tagged or hidden in accordance with our [Spoilers](/r/boardgames/wiki/contribution-guides#wiki_spoilers) guidelines.
