Why approval is the default

Three things go wrong when a tool posts to Reddit on its own, and approval prevents all of them.

• Subreddit norms. Each community has its own tolerance for vendors, its own rules on disclosure, and its own tone. A reply that is welcome in r/smallbusiness can be removed in r/personalfinance. A person who knows the community makes that call better than a model does.
• Your brand voice. Rankcow drafts in your voice from what the poster wrote, but you are the one who knows when a claim is too strong or a detail is out of date. Approval is where that correction happens, before it is public.
• Reddit's rules on apps acting for users. Reddit expects actions taken through an app to be taken with the account holder's consent. An approval step keeps a person in that loop whichever account the reply goes out from.

The review flow

1. Drafts arrive in a queue. As Rankcow finds and scores threads in your subreddits, it drafts a public reply, and a DM where the poster invited one, and adds them to the queue.
2. Each item shows the context. You see the original post, the subreddit, the buying-intent score, and the draft side by side. You do not have to open Reddit to judge it.
3. You edit, approve, or discard. Edit the text in place, approve it as written, or discard it if the thread is not worth joining. Discarding costs nothing.
4. Approved replies post through the extension. If you connected your own Reddit account, the Rankcow Companion browser extension posts the approved text from it. Otherwise it goes out through Rankcow's own established accounts. Before it does, Rankcow checks the subreddit's rules, karma thresholds, and account-age requirements, and keeps the send inside your pacing settings and daily caps.

Autopilot, if you want it

Some teams want the drafts sent without a review step once they trust the output. Autopilot is an opt-in mode for that. When it is on, Rankcow sends drafts automatically within the same daily caps and the same subreddit rule checks that apply to manual approval. It is off by default, and you can turn it off again at any time, which returns every new draft to the queue.

Team use

The queue is shared across your account, so the person who approves does not have to be the person who set up the subreddits. A founder can review technical replies, a marketer can review tone, and either can discard a draft. Whoever approves, the reply posts from the account chosen for that project, your own connected through the extension or one of Rankcow's, so the team decides which account represents the company in each subreddit.

Daily caps and pacing apply to the account, not to the individual reviewer. If two people approve ten replies each, the cap still holds, and the extension spaces the sends out. That keeps a busy team from posting in a burst that looks automated.
