Reddit search
Free Reddit search with no signup. Search the newest Reddit posts by keyword, across every subreddit or inside one, and see which results are people asking for a recommendation right now.
How to search Reddit properly
Reddit's own search is built for readers, not for people looking for a specific conversation. A few habits make it useful.
- Newest first, always. Reddit's own search defaults to relevance, which favours old, heavily upvoted posts, so a buyer who asked an hour ago sits under a thread from 2019. This search always lists the latest posts first, so you see the conversations you can still join.
- Quote exact phrases. Searching "looking for a crm" in quotes finds people saying those words in that order. Without quotes you get every post that mentions any of them.
- Search the way a buyer types. Recommend, alternative to, anyone use, switch from, worth it, which one. People use these phrases right before they choose a product, which is why results that contain them carry a buyer-intent flag here.
- Live data. Each search asks Reddit for the latest posts as they are right now. Identical searches within ten minutes share one result, so popular searches load instantly.
What the buyer-intent flag means
Rankcow's job is to find Reddit threads where someone is about to buy, so the free search shows a lighter version of that signal.
- Flagged posts use buying language. A post gets the flag when its title or body contains a phrase people use when choosing a product: a request for recommendations, a comparison, an alternative to a named tool, a question about whether something is worth paying for.
- It is a phrase match, not a judgement. No model reads the post here, so a sarcastic "worth it?" counts and a quiet "we are evaluating vendors" does not. Rankcow itself scores every post with a model, shows the quote that earned the score, and automatically sends the replies and DMs.
Frequently asked questions
How do I search Reddit?
Type a keyword or phrase into the Reddit search box above and press Search Reddit. It searches post titles and text across all of Reddit and lists the newest matches first, with the subreddit, author, age and comment count on each. It is free, with no signup.
How do I search within a subreddit?
Type the subreddit's name in the In subreddit box, with or without the r/, and only posts from that community come back. On Reddit itself you can do the same by opening the subreddit and searching there, or by adding subreddit:name to your search.
What are Reddit search operators?
Reddit's search understands a few operators: title: matches words in the post title, author: matches a username, subreddit: limits results to one community, selftext: matches the post body, and quotes match an exact phrase. They work in this search too, for example title:crm or author:spez.
Why is Reddit search not working?
Usually it is working, just sorting by relevance, which puts old, heavily upvoted posts above anything recent. Long queries also match fewer posts. Use fewer words, put an exact phrase in quotes, or search inside one subreddit. This search always shows the newest posts first, so recent threads are never buried.
Can I search Reddit by date?
This search always lists the newest posts first, so the top results are from the last hours or days. To find older posts on a topic, add the year to your search, for example crm 2024, or use the time filter on Reddit's own search page, which offers past hour, day, week, month and year.
How do I search Reddit comments or a specific user?
This search covers posts. To search what one person has written, use Rankcow's free Reddit user search: enter a username to see their account age, karma and top subreddits, and search across their recent posts and comments.
Is this Reddit search free?
Yes. You get two free searches every 24 hours with no signup or login. After your second search, a countdown shows exactly when your free searches come back.
