Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to your Reddit leads
Rankcow is an MCP server. Give Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP-capable agent one URL, sign in once, and it can browse your scored Reddit leads, read the full threads, tune what you monitor and draft replies in your voice. It saves every draft to Rankcow for you to post yourself. It never posts to Reddit and never spends a credit.
The URL
Every agent needs the same thing. Paste it wherever yours asks for an MCP server or a custom connector. There is no API key; you sign in with your Rankcow account in the browser.
https://app.rankcow.com/mcpOr let your agent do it
Copy this and paste it into whatever agent you have open. It is written for the agent: Claude Code and Cursor will set themselves up; Claude Desktop, claude.ai and ChatGPT will walk you to the right settings screen.
Connect me to Rankcow over MCP.
Server URL: https://app.rankcow.com/mcp
Transport: Streamable HTTP. Auth: OAuth 2.1, I sign in through the browser. There is no API key.
If you are Claude Code: run `claude mcp add --transport http rankcow https://app.rankcow.com/mcp`, then tell me to run /mcp, pick "rankcow" and authenticate.
If you are Cursor: add { "mcpServers": { "rankcow": { "url": "https://app.rankcow.com/mcp" } } } to my MCP config, then tell me to approve the login when it opens.
If you are Claude Desktop, claude.ai or ChatGPT: you cannot add it yourself. Tell me exactly where in Settings > Connectors to paste the URL as a custom connector, and what to click after.
Once connected, list my newest Reddit leads.Step by step, per agent
Claude Code
- In a terminal, run the command below.
- In Claude Code, run
/mcp, choose rankcow, then Authenticate. - Your browser opens Rankcow. Sign in if you are not already, read the consent screen, click Allow. Claude Code reports “Connected to rankcow”.
claude mcp add --transport http rankcow https://app.rankcow.com/mcpClaude Desktop and claude.ai
- Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the URL above as the server URL and save.
- Click Connect. Sign in to Rankcow in the window that opens and click Allow.
ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Connectors. Custom connectors live under the advanced or developer section; turn it on if it is off.
- Create a new connector with the URL above. Leave authentication on OAuth; there is no key to enter.
- Connect, sign in to Rankcow, click Allow. Enable the connector in a chat to use it.
Cursor
- Open your MCP settings (or edit
mcp.json) and add the entry below. - Cursor shows a login prompt for the new server. Approve it.
- Sign in to Rankcow in the browser and click Allow. The Rankcow tools appear in the agent's tool list.
{ "mcpServers": { "rankcow": { "url": "https://app.rankcow.com/mcp" } } }Other MCP clients: use the URL above with HTTP transport and OAuth. No client registration or key is needed; Rankcow registers your client automatically when it first connects.
What your agent can do
- Browse your leads. Filter by community, buying-intent tier, status or fit, see what is new, saved, replied or a long shot.
- Read the whole thread. The full post, the signals and evidence behind the score, and the comment digest when one exists.
- Tune what Rankcow monitors. Add or remove subreddits and keyword phrases.
- Edit your buyer profile. Who buys, who only looks like a buyer, the moments that trigger a purchase, and the phrases buyers use.
- Draft replies in your voice and save them. The draft lands on the lead in Rankcow, ready for you to post.
What it cannot do
- Post to Reddit, comment, or send DMs. You post every reply yourself, from the app, from your own account.
- Upvote or buy upvotes.
- Spend credits, change your plan, or touch billing.
- Overwrite a draft you already wrote without asking you first.
Things to try
- leadsShow me my purchase-ready leads from this week, best fit first.
- leadsWhich of my communities produced the most high-fit leads this month?
- draftRead the top lead in r/SaaS and draft a reply in my voice. Show it to me before you save it.
- monitoringAdd r/smallbusiness and r/Entrepreneur to my monitored communities.
- profileReview my buyer profile and suggest two look-alikes we should exclude.
- triageGo through my new leads and tell me which three I should reply to today, and why.
Privacy and control
You sign in with your normal Rankcow login; your password never passes through the agent. The consent screen names the tool that is asking and the two permissions it gets (read your Reddit data, write communities, keywords, profile and drafts). Access tokens expire after one hour and are refreshed quietly for up to 30 days, so you sign in about once a month per tool. Remove the connector in your agent to end access immediately. Nothing an agent does through the connection is posted publicly or billed.

Frequently asked questions
Does connecting an agent cost anything?
No. The connection is part of every Rankcow account, including the free start, and nothing your agent does through it uses credits. Browsing leads, reading posts, changing communities or keywords, editing the buyer profile and saving drafts are all free. Credits are only ever spent on actions you take in the app, like posting through Rankcow's accounts.
Can my agent post replies to Reddit for me?
No, and that is deliberate. Your agent writes the reply and saves it as a draft on the lead. You open the lead in Rankcow and post it yourself with one tap, from your own Reddit account. Nothing goes out to Reddit from the connection, and no upvotes are ever bought through it.
Which agents work?
Anything that supports MCP servers over HTTP with OAuth: Claude Code, Claude Desktop and claude.ai, ChatGPT (custom connectors), Cursor, and most other agent tools. If your tool asks for a URL and then opens a browser to sign in, it will work. If it asks for an API key, it is using an older style of integration that Rankcow does not offer.
What does my agent see?
Only your Reddit projects: the leads Rankcow found and scored for you, their full post text and comment digests, the subreddits and keywords you monitor, and your buyer profile. It cannot see billing, other users, or anything outside the Reddit product. You approve the exact scopes on the consent screen when you connect.
How do I disconnect?
Remove the server from your agent (for Claude Code, `claude mcp remove rankcow`; for the others, delete the connector in Settings). Access tokens expire after an hour and the longer-lived refresh token stops working as soon as the connector is gone. You can reconnect at any time with the same URL.
Why does the consent page mention localhost?
Desktop tools like Claude Code and Cursor receive the sign-in result on a temporary local port, so the consent page tells you the exact localhost address it will send you to. That is normal for those tools. If you connected from a web product like claude.ai or ChatGPT, you will see their domain there instead. If the address is not the tool you just used, do not approve.
