1. 1.

   Be Civil

   Any form of hate speech (including slurs), bigotry (including but not limited to racism, sexism, ableism, and homophobia), support of hate groups (such as comicsgate), threats of violence (against users or creators), and erasure will result in a permanent ban. 2. 2.

   No Piracy

   Do not directly link to a piracy site, ask for links to piracy sites, or directly encourage or otherwise enable users to pirate comics. Do not submit images with watermarks of piracy sites. 3. 3.

   Image Policy

   Users may only submit one image or image album per day and they must be appropriately flaired. The source of the excerpt, including the series name and comic issue or television episode number. Please include the name and source for the "Fan Creation" and "Cover/Pin-up" in the title of post. 4. 4.

   Spoiler Policy

   The most recent issue of a comic is deemed a "spoiler" until the following issue has been released and must be properly tagged as a spoiler. Spoilers must be absent from the titles of posts until they are collected (TPB for comics, DVD for movies). Television and video games are spoilers until 30 days after release. 5. 5.

   Self-Promotion and Spam

   If you wish to share your own work please be an active member of the community first, and comment on others' posts. Post no more than three pieces of your own content per week. Crowdfunding is limited to one link for the duration of the campaign. Casting rumours for untrusted sources will be removed. 6. 6.

   NSFW Content / Comments

   NSFW content must be flaired as such. Sexual content that is not officially published comics material will be removed. Comments that add nothing to the discussion other than objectifying and sexualizing cosplayers, characters or creators being discussed will also be removed and may result in a ban. 7. 7.

   Recent Acquisitions & Value Appraisals

   Recent purchases, attic/basement finds, showing signatures, and asking for value appraisals belong in the weekly Swag Bag Friday posts and will be removed otherwise- the only exception is for sketches and commissions which should be labeled as either "Fan Creation" or "Cover/Pin-Up". Posts showing off your collection or displays (such as “shelfies” pictures of your bookshelf) are permitted so long as the focus of the post is on the display itself.

8. 8.

   Screenshots and Memes

   Link submissions of memes, altered comic panels, image macros, or other low-effort and “shitpost” images will be removed, as will screencaps of websites. This restriction only applies to link submissions, and users are free to post them in the comments section as much as they wish.

9. 9.

   Off-Topic

   Content on the subreddit must be related in one way or another to comics. Discussion of manga (and anime adaptations of such) is permitted. Gossip and news that is not related to comics or adaptations of such is not permitted. Please check the [list of related subreddits](https://www.reddit.com/r/comicbooks/wiki/faq#wiki_related_reddits) to see if there is a more suitable place to share your post.

10. 10.

    Reposts and Spam

    Generally, news stories are limited to one link or thread. Before submitting a post please check to see that the story hasn’t already been submitted. No more than two excerpts from a given source may sit on the front page per day, so please check the front page to see if a comic has been submitted multiple times before you submit your post.
