r/nasa rules

1. 1.

   All submissions must be related to NASA

   The focus of r/NASA is primarily around NASA itself and the work it does. Submissions and comments should reflect that focus.

2. 2.

   Only images with content directly related to NASA are allowed

   No drawings/artwork, astrophotography (not from NASA), pictures of legos, memes, screenshots, etc. Images should be direct links to the original NASA image whenever possible, otherwise a source for the image must be provided in the comments. Submitted images with requests for identification ("what is this?") will be removed. Certain exceptions are made on Creative Sunday, please see [the wiki page] (https://www.reddit.com/r/nasa/wiki/creativesunday) for details.

3. 3.

   Video submissions must come from an official NASA or related account

   Video submissions must come from an official source (i.e., NASA or ESA). Other content may be approved at the discretion of moderators. Links to the "NASA live stream - Earth From Space LIVE Feed | Incredible ISS live stream of earth from space" or similar videos (including UFO videos, etc.) will be removed and posters subject to a ban.

4. 4.

   No fundraising/merchant/petition links

   Posts/comments linking to fundraising, merchant, or petition sites (e.g. kickstarter, Amazon, change.org, etc.) are not permitted.

5. 5.

   No clickbait / conspiracy theories

   Clickbait, conspiracy theories, and similar posts will be removed. Offenders are subject to a permanent ban.

6. 6.

   No duplicate posts of the same event/subject

   Duplicate posts of the same event/subject will be removed.

7. 7.

   No blogspam or websites with stolen/scraped content

   Links to blogs or similar sites that are primarily just reposting content from an original source (e.g. nasa.gov) are prohibited.

8. 8.

   No low effort posts

   Low-effort posts will be removed. Examples of low-effort posts are those which can be easily found with an Internet search (e.g., “When did Apollo 11 launch?”).

9. 9.

   All submissions must be Safe For School

   All posts and comments must use "Safe For School" language and content.

10. 10.

    Be kind to your fellow redditor

    Please keep all comments civil. Personal attacks, insults, etc. against any person or group, regardless of whether they are participating in a conversation, are prohibited.

11. 11.

    Everything is up to the discretion of the moderators

    Notwithstanding any other rule of r/nasa, moderators have the complete discretion to remove a post or comment at any time for reasons including but not limited to: violation of Reddit rules, the need to maintain a positive atmosphere, trolling, or any reason that violates the spirit if not the letter of any r/nasa rules.
